our guide, andrea, was knowledgeable, reliable and really inspiring. it was SO great to see monumental artworks with her inside knowledge. i would really recommend this tour company as a better alternative to Viator.

said I would reply after I got back.
Think I got the same Guide as you Maylinda. Andrea? She was great and we all agreed that the extra we paid was well worth it for the additional information we got. Agreed we could read about the composition of the Apostles in the painting but Andrea really brought it alive (as would other conscientious Guides, I'm sure.)
From the start, we were provided with really interesting information about history, the reason for the difference in durability of the Last Supper and the painting on the opposite wall. Also, the other Church we went to, San Maurizio was really interesting too as was the information about the old City Walls.
On this experience, I would happily pay extra for the added benefit of getting more from the visit which may be the only visit to these places I will make.
It may be that some tours offer "little or no value added" but this was certainly not the case with Art Discoveries.

Just come back from a trip to Milan. Really wanted to see The Last Supper but only tried to book online a couple of days before. It was fully booked. Came across Art Discoveries Milano which had some cancellations. Booked a 2hour tour for 29Euros. It was great. The company is fairly new but my guide, Andrea, was very experienced and knowledgeable. We first saw the Last Supper. After that, as we couldn't visit the Church of Santa Maria closed for a private mass, we went to visit the nearby Church of San Maurizio which was very beautiful, followed by the visit of the Castello Sforza. This was a very pleasant walking tour of a couple of hours and most interesting. I felt I not only saw one of the most famous sites of Milan but also some very interesting but well less known sites. Can highly recommend it.
Namnok - Manchester - 24 September 2011, 10:19We took a 2hr "happy hour" tour with Andrea herself.
I was cautious about it only cos there wasn't any reviews online...did I just pay €58 online to a bogus tour guide?
Luckily it was all legit. after spending early afternoon walking in Milan and looking around the Duomo and the shops, we met up with the group and Andrea took the group to see the Santa Mariachurch then over to the Last Supper. Definitely worth the extra in cost than just the cost of the ticket if you want to learn a bit more about the history behind the painting and about the painting itself. the drink and snacks afterwards topped off a great day in Milan.
The other tour companies were all sold out, and at €50 each...would it have been any better? realistically, all we wanted to see was the last supper but have a knowledgable guide give us some history and detail made it more worthwhile
